Friendfeed surge? Is it just me?

I am under the impression that a lot of new activity is going on over at Friendfeed. I see loads of new people and a lot of Greeks as well, who seemed to not like it or not know about it for quite some time.

And I sort of started wondering. Wouldn’t it be lovely if we could track all the network effects of how Friendfeed spread?

What do you think? Is it the press? Is it the connection to other services? Is it the API?
