The London Business School is organising is 6th London Media Summit 2008 which will take place on Monday the 24th of November.
This year’s theme is entitled “The Great Debate: How can ‘old’ media survive?” and it will focus on the future of traditional media platforms.
With an array of high-profile media leaders taking part, “The Great Debate: how can ‘old’ media survive” will consist of compelling keynote speeches, authoritative panel discussions and excellent networking opportunities (…)

The list of speakers is certainly impressive but I would certainly prefer some speakers who are using new media more aggressively than those on the list or some speakers who represent new media. If old media representatives are there to talk about the future shouldn’t they be getting some ideas from others as well? Just a thought.

Sounds like a very interesting event, although, as you say, it’d be better if new media people would be present.
Just this week PC Magazine went out of circulation and the New York Times is in deep trouble.
We’ll keep watching on the sidelines.
Yes, I heard about PC Magazine. It’s very sad, it was actually the first magazine that my father bought me back when I was very young, just to get me interested in new tech (kinda worked).
