Niavent live in Great Britain most of the time but they were born in a variety of Greek cities like Thessaloniki, Kavala, Crete and Athens.

 

They are a band that has many additions from time to time but the heart of the group remains with the three founding members; George, George and Kosmas.

 

They write music from afar and so their songs are written from one and nobody at the same time - a process that makes each song unique.

 

They insist on traditional sounds but at the same time they are not afraid to experiment with their music and their (primarily Greek) lyrics.

 

They play laiko and rebetiko - two genres that could potentially be called the Greek Blues. They also like latin rhythms and the kind of rock mellow teenagers find fascinating. Each member has his or her own preferances and so their playlist changes often.

 

Recently they created their own page on Podsafe Music Network and many of their songs can be found there - free, for non commercial purposes.

 

They are funny and sentimental and they offer something different each and every single time.

 

The hope - for always better days and better music.
